This video shows the creation of Aston Martin’s centennial design concept, the CC100, from drawing board to clay model and through the final build. This one of a kind car was shown in Monterey during August 2013, and I actually had a chance to sit in it.

We collect more data about how the cars behave than we do in any other comparison test, but the numbers inform our decision rather than dictate it. As MacKenzie is fond of saying, if numbers were all that mattered, we’d test an F1 car and be done with it.

Without a doubt, the Alfa Romeo 4C is the most important Alfa Romeo for decades.

Alfa has spent many years being messed about by successive managements, every one with different half-cooked ideas, then quite a few more. Recently it has had its better-known values attached to B and C-segment hatchbacks – the Mito and Giulietta – because that is where the money is.

Yet no car in recent history has deliberately set out to embody Alfa values. The 8C Competizione helped, of course, but it was really only a concept made good. In truth, it is at least 30 years since Alfa Romeo has built a car for real people that directly and affordably expresses its values. This is the 4C’s mission and it is why it is so very significant – and why this is a must-watch video.

Pebble Beach Concours d’Eleganceis probably the world’s best-known exhibit and competition for classic cars. The cars are spectacular and the scenery is without comparison. The Concours takes place the last day of Monterey Car Week, an there are dozens of other car events during this week. Among them Concours on the Avenue, Concorso Italiano, Rolex Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca, and car auctions by RM, Russo, and Steele, Mecum and more.

Timo Kluck drives the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 on the Nordschleife (Nürburgring) to the limit. When tested with the Dunlop Sport Maxx Race he is not only spectacular but also goes quickly like hell.
