Monticello Motor Club is a private facility, and below you will find a mission statement captured from the club website.
“More than just a track, Monticello Motor Club is a luxury destination situated on 670 beautiful hilltop acres, with an array of services and amenities. In addition to the stunning and challenging 4.1 mile circuit, designed by preeminent track architect Bruce Hawkins and race legend Brian Redman, we offer professional instruction, track-side support, premium car storage, fine dining and five-star service.
Built to accommodate drivers of all abilities, MMC will keep even the most accomplished racers captivated. Car enthusiasts with minimal track experience, such as MMC member Jerry Seinfeld, find MMC the perfect setting to learn and explore new limits. At the other end of the spectrum, seasoned drivers come to refine their skills, prepare for upcoming races or just enjoy some laps at speed with friends.”
We did indeed enjoy our day at the track (Thursday, September 13, 2012), and all the instructores are given credit for being friendly, curteous and very professional. Instructors: Jonathan Wein, Kyle Connery and John Angelone. Check out our day in the slide show below.
Roland’s laps at Monticello
During our “taste of the track day”, we drove with intructors in a car ahead of us and with instructors in our cars, and then we were Ok’d for solo driving. I put my GoPro video camera in my Porsche and videod two laps at the end of the day. I had the track almost to myself.

And here is a video showing Grand-Am Champion Scott Pruett track the new Lexus LFA while Porsche Works Driver Pat Long sets a track record in the Jlowe Racing Porsche GT3 Cup. Just another day at New York’s Monticello Motor Club. Beautifully shot and produced by TangentVector.
